SEVEN BLESSINGS of the Atonement

Joel, Chapter 2:

First Blessing: A Double Portion (Joel 2:23)

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

Second Blessing: Financial Abundance (Joel 2:24)

And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

Third Blessing: Restoration (Joel 2:25)

And I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,

The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

Fourth Blessing: Miracles (Joel 2:26)

And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Fifth Blessing: God’s Divine Presence (Joel 2:27)

And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you;

And My people shall never be put to shame.

Sixth Blessing: Blessings Upon Your Family (Joel 2:28)

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Seventh Blessing: Deliverance (Joel 2:32)

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: … .

We are Christians who join with the Jewish Nation in honoring Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day of the Jewish year. On this day, we ask God for forgiveness of our sins. Repentance is a foundation of Atonement, and especially on this Day of Atonement, we seek to become clean and clear before God.

This special year—Israel’s seventieth year as a modern-day

nation—has been declared from this pulpit as a year of peace when God is pouring out prosperity, favor, and salvation upon our families!

On next Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23, 2018, I ask that you bring your BEST sacrificial offering to lay on the Ark of the Covenant. Please complete the enclosed card with your name and your requests to be buried in the foundation of the Tower of the Star of Bethlehem when I go next month! I am believing God for a special outpouring of all His blessings on your life, an outpouring such as you haven’t experienced before!
